Why Choose independent guide In Nepal
Why choose Bhakti for trekking guide in Nepal
Here below are the 2 ways about the agency or some guides how they offer low price for solo trekker or small group,
(A) Agency collect many solo trekkers, and make all trekkers in a same groups, so every member can share the common expense (guide's Lukla flight ticket, guide and porter's salary), so the final price for everyone is low. But is this situation all the trip need to share room with stranger and need to compatible with strangers. Here have another problem,in a group some member are strong can arrive in destination, some member maybe weak or sick need to return at half way, in this case the guide need to continue guide group to the final destination, so the sick one would trek back with a porter (most porter can not speak English), it means whole the way trek back this trekker need to take care of himself, if this period suddenly have emergency situation that would be big problem to this trekker.
(B) Agency offer low price for solo trekker, this trekker no need to join with other strangers, it means no other member to share the common expense, so agency use below 2 way to save several hundred then can offer a low price for solo trekker:
(1) agency offer only1 staff for trekker, trekker can have a "porter-guide", so trekker just need to pay 1 staff's salary(in this case can save several hundred). But "porter-guide" their ability is better than porter but less than guide, their English is not good enough, so communication maybe will be a problem, "porter-guide"can carry your bag and settle your accommodation, but maybe can not explain about culture and nature as a real guide. And most of "porter-guide" they don't have the guide license, it means they didn't pass the training and not such professional, they don't have enough ability to solve emergency problem(ex. Find AMS symptom earlier or make a correct decision in critical timing).
(2) Some agency they have their local guide who live in Everest area, trekker first fly to Lukla and meet guide there, so in this case can save $100 for guide's Lukla ticket, but the problem is: if trekker have emergency situation need to sent back to KTM the local guide will not fly to KTM with trekker.
These are the several ways how the agency offer a low price for solo trekker or small group. If all thing smoothly it will be good, but if something wrong on the way that will be big problem for trekker. I know if I also manage like this way I can get more more guests, but many people they come to Nepal maybe only one time in their life, so I want to offer a good experience and a lifetime memory, this is my insistence for the quality.
